This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) constitutes a legally binding agreement between you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) and Scenely Studio (“Scenely,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a sole proprietorship owned and operated by Dawn Feng, governing the collection, utilization, and disclosure of information through your access to scenelystudio.com (the “Site”) and the virtual staging services (the “Services”) provided therein. By accessing the Site or utilizing the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information Provided by the User

• Identification and Business Data: including, but not limited to, name, electronic mail address, telephone number, and corporate or business designation.
• Order Specifications: property location details, room classifications, aesthetic preferences, and other data submitted pursuant to an order.
• Property Imagery: photographic representations of units or rooms uploaded for processing.
• Communications: correspondence, support inquiries, and feedback transmitted to Scenely. This includes anything you send through our contact form. What we keep from that form is your name, your electronic mail address, an optional subject, the content of your message, and — if you asked for a custom quote — the number of listings and the timing you told us about. That is the whole record. We keep it so that your inquiry is not lost, and we use it solely to answer you. Your network address is used at the moment you submit, to limit how often the form can be sent and to block spam, and is not kept with your message; we do not record which browser or device you used. Submitting the form does not create an account, and we do not send an automated reply to the address given.
• Complimentary Sample Materials: where a prospective customer accepts an invitation to a complimentary staged sample, we hold the photographs they send us, the property address, their name, their electronic mail address and their company name. If they answer the three questions on the sample page, we additionally hold their answers, any optional comments they write, and their answer to whether we may publish a quote from them — recorded together with the exact wording of the question they answered, so what was permitted is on file rather than inferred. Nothing is published unless we have separately decided to and their answer permits it, and permission can be withdrawn at any time by replying to us. A logo, if they choose to send one, is used only alongside such a quote and is not displayed anywhere else. We do not create an account for them and there is nothing for them to buy.
• Financial Data: payment transactions are processed by a third-party processor (e.g., Stripe) which collects instrument details. Scenely shall not store full card numbers; our access is limited to truncated data, card classification, and transaction status.

Information Collected Automatically

• Sign-in Cookie: the Site sets a single, strictly necessary cookie to keep a signed-in User signed in between page loads. It is set regardless of any analytics choice, because without it the Site cannot keep you signed in.
• Usage Data, only with your consent: where — and only where — the User has affirmatively accepted analytics through the cookie banner described in Section 5, the Site loads Google Analytics 4, a service of Google LLC, which sets its own cookies in the User’s browser and records pages viewed, referring source, approximate geographic region derived from network address, and general device and browser characteristics. Absent that acceptance — including before any choice is made — none of that code is loaded and no request is made to Google LLC. The Site uses no advertising cookies, no tag manager, no tracking pixels and no other third-party trackers of any kind. See Section 5 for detail.

Marketing

Should the User elect to subscribe to marketing communications, Scenely shall utilize the provided email address for the dissemination of updates and promotional materials. The User retains the right to rescind such authorization at any time.

Where Scenely has contacted a prospective customer without a prior relationship — to invite them to send photographs of a vacant unit for a complimentary staged sample — that communication includes a one-click opt-out. An opt-out is honoured permanently against the email address, requires no account, and is independent of any link expiry.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provision, delivery, and optimization of the Services, including the digital enhancement of User-submitted photos.
• Processing of financial transactions and issuance of fiscal documentation.
• Communication regarding order fulfillment, technical support, and service amendments.
• Transmitting marketing communications where permissible by law, subject to User opt-out.
• Ensuring platform security, fraud mitigation, and adherence to legal and regulatory obligations.
• Where the User has accepted analytics, understanding in aggregate which pages are visited and how visitors arrive, in order to improve the Site. This data is not used to make decisions about an individual User, and is not used for advertising.

3. How We Handle Your Property Photos

• Scenely utilizes User-submitted property photos exclusively for the production of staged deliverables and the fulfillment of orders.
• Processing may be facilitated by third-party AI technologies and service providers governed by strict confidentiality obligations.
• Scenely hereby warrants that it does not sell User photos, nor are such photos utilized to train third-party AI models beyond the scope necessary for order completion.
• Original photographs are retained as received. Scenely does not re-encode, resize, or strip metadata from your original files; the originals delivered back to you are the files you uploaded.
• Retention: Scenely shall retain order data — including original photographs, staged images and disclosure documentation — for a period of 12 months from delivery to facilitate revisions and archival records, after which such data shall be deleted or anonymized, unless otherwise required by law.
• Storage tiering: 90 days after delivery, stored materials are transitioned to an infrequent-access storage tier. After 90 days we move them to lower-cost archival storage. They remain available for the full 12 months; a download may just take a moment longer to start.

4. How We Share Information

Scenely shall not sell personal information to third parties. Disclosure is limited to:

• Authorized Service Providers: including payment processors, AI technology platforms, and cloud storage infrastructure operating under Scenely’s direction.
• Analytics Provider: Google LLC, as the operator of Google Analytics 4, receives the usage data described in Section 1 — and receives it only from Users who have accepted analytics. Scenely configures that property to deny every advertising signal, so the data is not used to build advertising audiences, to personalize advertising, or for advertising measurement. Google Analytics 4 is the only analytics or tracking service Scenely uses.
• Error Monitoring Provider: Functional Software, Inc. d/b/a Sentry, as the operator of Sentry, receives a technical report each time Scenely’s own server software fails, so that faults are found and fixed rather than going unnoticed. This is a server-side service only: no Sentry code is loaded in the User’s browser, the User’s browser never contacts Functional Software, Inc. d/b/a Sentry, and nothing is stored on or read from the User’s device. Because of that it is not part of the cookie choice in Section 5 — the lawful basis is Scenely’s legitimate interest in the security and reliability of the Site, not consent. Each report is stripped before it is sent. It carries the fault, the file and line it occurred in, and the shape of the web address involved. It is built so that some things can never be in it at all: the contents of any request, the request headers and cookies, anything after the question mark in a web address, and the User’s identity — no account, email address or IP address is attached. The description of the fault itself is free text, written by Scenely’s software or by the software libraries it uses, so it is cleaned a second way: anything recognisable in it as an email address, a street address, an order reference, a stored file or a sign-in credential is removed before the report is sent. That second pass is thorough but, being pattern-based, cannot be promised to be complete — a name or a file name quoted into a fault description may occasionally survive it.
• Legal and Regulatory Compliance: as required by law or in response to valid legal processes, or to safeguard the rights and property of Scenely.
• Corporate Transactions: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer.

Scenely does not publish delivered imagery at a publicly reachable address. Staged images, originals and disclosure guides are accessible only through an authenticated session or a short-lived link scoped to the account that owns the order.

5. Cookies & Analytics

The one cookie that is always set. Scenely sets exactly one cookie of its own: a session cookie strictly necessary to keep a signed-in User signed in between page loads. It is not used for analytics, advertising, or tracking across other sites, and it is not shared with any third party. Because it is strictly necessary it is not subject to the choice below; blocking cookies in your browser will simply prevent the Site from keeping you signed in.

Analytics, which you choose. Scenely uses Google Analytics 4, operated by Google LLC, to understand which pages visitors reach and how they arrive. It is strictly opt-in. On a first visit a banner asks, in plain terms, whether you accept it, and offers Accept and Reject as equally prominent choices. Until you accept, no Google Analytics 4 code is downloaded, no request is made to Google LLC, and no analytics cookie is set — an undecided visitor is treated exactly as a visitor who declined. If you accept, Google Analytics 4 sets its own cookies in your browser and collects the usage data described in Section 1. Scenely configures the property to deny advertising storage, advertising personalization and advertising user data, so it is never used to target advertising to you.

Changing your mind. Your choice is recorded in this browser’s local storage — not in a cookie — and applies to this browser only. Rejecting takes effect immediately: Scenely disables any analytics code already running on the page and expires the analytics cookies. You can change the choice at any time, as easily as you made it:

Beyond Google Analytics 4, the Site loads no advertising tools, no tracking pixels, and no third-party embeds or CDN fonts. Scenely does not use Google Tag Manager or any other tag-management container: Google Analytics 4’s own library is served from a Google domain named googletagmanager.com, which is that library’s delivery host rather than a separate product. Scenely does not currently acknowledge browser-based “Do Not Track” signals.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Pursuant to applicable jurisdictional laws, the User may possess rights regarding the access, rectification, erasure, or portability of personal data. To exercise such rights, use our contact form, write to hello@scenelystudio.com, or use the deletion controls in your account settings.

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

You have the right to know and access the personal information we collect, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA: the analytics described in Section 5 is opt-in, is configured with every advertising signal denied, and is therefore not used for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may switch it off at any time using the control in Section 5. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights, and you may use an authorized agent to submit a request. The categories of personal information we collect are described in Section 1.

7. Data Security

Scenely employs commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect User information. Notwithstanding these measures, no electronic transmission or storage method is infallible, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

8. Data Retention

Personal information shall be retained only for the duration necessary to fulfill the purposes set forth herein, comply with legal mandates, resolve disputes, and enforce contractual agreements. Order materials follow the 12-month schedule described in Section 3.

Photographs sent for a complimentary staged sample are not order materials and follow no fixed schedule. The link to a sample expires, after which nothing further is served from it. The photographs themselves, and the staged images and disclosure guide prepared from them, are deleted on request: write to us and we remove them, together with any logo sent. The answers to the three questions, and the record of what publication was and was not permitted, are retained after such a deletion, because they are the record of a permission given and are what we would have to rely on.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Services are intended for professional use and are not directed toward individuals under sixteen (16) years of age. Scenely does not knowingly solicit or collect data from minors.

10. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to external third-party sites not under the control of Scenely. Scenely assumes no responsibility for the privacy practices of such third parties.

11. International Users

Scenely is headquartered in the United States. Users accessing the Services from international jurisdictions hereby acknowledge and consent to the processing of their information within the United States.

12. Changes to This Policy

Scenely reserves the right to amend this Policy periodically. Material modifications shall be notified via the Site, and the “Last updated” date shall be revised accordingly.
